Cold machine wash on a gentle cycle. Line dry in the shade. No fabric softener — it coats the fibre and stops it breathing. Expect it to soften for about twenty washes, then stay there.
Dishwasher safe. Handwashing keeps the glaze brighter over years. Don't move it straight from fridge to oven — thermal shock is what cracks stoneware, not age.
Cool hand wash or wool cycle, dry flat. Merino doesn't need washing as often as cotton; airing usually does it.
Damp cloth only, no solvents. Store flat or loosely rolled.
Keep sealed and out of direct light. Loose leaf tea is at its best inside six months.
